SCROLL

the seed faith community

catholic: the universal church, all believers and followers of the teachings of Jesus

faith: strong or unshakable belief in something, especially without proof or evidence

community: a group of people having common interests who share, participate, and fellowship

We plant the seed in each other's heart, and the community waters it, but it is God who makes it grow.

It is not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What is important is that God makes the seed grow.

The one who plants and the one who waters work together with the same purpose.

For we are all God's workers and we are all God's field.

Paraphrased from 1 Corinthians 3:6-9 NLT

we believe

We believe in the one Divine Being that makes up the Holy Trinity:

  • In God the creator of all things known and unknown.
  • In Jesus the redeemer, God made flesh, who came to teach us and redeem us from our separation from God, so that we might come into full relationship with God through his humanity.
  • In the Holy Spirit,  the Wisdom of God, who spreads throughout the earth and dwells within each part of creation, guiding and instructing.

We believe that the Word of God and all Sacred Texts are divinely inspired, human creations that are full of core truths, which help to guide us in our daily lives and lead us to a fuller understanding and relationship with the Living God.

We believe that the Church is the body of Christ and is God's way of pulling believers together so that we can use the gifts that God bestows on us, to help each other and to reveal God to the greater world.

We believe that God is love, and that being created in God’s image we are called to be love to the world.

We believe that all people are given grace and love from God equally and without condition and therefore we too should offer this to all without exception.

the community

inclusive - worship - fellowship - outreach

God created us to live in communion and calls us to show love, compassion, understanding, hospitality and generosity to all people without condition. As a community we strive to be transformed more and more into the likeness of Jesus while enjoying and caring for the world around us. There are times we are the seed to be planted, times we are the soil which needs planting, and times that we are water and fertilizer that brings nourishment. No matter which role we find ourselves in, we are all important and necessary to help grow the seed of God's love.
